Citibank Singapore has launched a new e-hongbao feature in its app on February 1 to allow users to do fund transfers via PayNow, as reported by Today.

The DBS has launched loadable QR red packets named DBS QR Ang Bao to mark CNY festivities. Their customers can “now skip the queue for new notes” and collect the free e-Ang Baos at any of the DBS/POSB branches or pop-up ATMs.
DBS customers can simply scan the QR code
on their e-Ang Baos, load it with money and send it to their loved ones using
the DBS PayLah! The receivers can similarly scan the QR code on their e-Ang Bao
on DBS PayLah to receive the money in their account.
There’s also a S$8,888 grand gift for a
customer who gives or receives the highest number of qualifying QR Ang Bao
transactions between 1 to 19 February, 2019. Plus there’s a daily prize of
S$188 for the top 10 users with the highest number of qualifying transactions
at the end of each day from 5 to 19 February, 2019.

The CIMB is handing out two ang pows to each of its customers as part of its CNY promotion, which will be distributed at the sales ambassadors/cash counters, and during account opening.
